For the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix, our team was challenged to bring the American Express Platinum brand to life on one of the world’s most ambitious digital canvases, the Las Vegas Sphere. With an extremely compressed two-week production timeline, we were tasked with creating a fully realized, high-fidelity 3D animation that showcased the American Express Platinum Livery on our Formula 1 Academy car while reinforcing our recent Platinum refresh and brand message: “There’s nothing like Platinum.”
As Creative Director of Motion, I led concept development, visual direction, and animation—working closely with a team of 4 creatives to create a piece that celebrated precision, speed, and elevated material design. We produced high-end, photoreal renders in Cinema 4D and Redshift, highlighting the intricate reflections and material detail of the custom “Platinum Mirror” livery.
Throughout the process, we collaborated closely with our F1 partners to ensure the animation authentically represented both brands and reinforced the shared presence of American Express and Formula 1 Academy at the event.
Once the animation was built, we partnered with Gravity Production to translate it into a format optimized for the Sphere’s massive 360° surface. Together, we created a 30-second looping experience positioned across three Sphere vantage points, ensuring perfect visibility and maximum impact from every angle.
The final animation ran throughout LVGP weekend, supporting our in-event activations and aligning with the presence of the real Formula 1 Academy car. It was featured prominently across F1, American Express, LVGP, and Sphere social channels, and was captured multiple times during the live ESPN broadcast, extending its reach to a global audience.
