American Express joined forces with Formula 1 Academy to powefully back small businesses and Women With Drive. After delivering the very first Amex livery design for our newly signed F1A Driver Jess Edgar, our motion team was tasked with crafting a Livery Reveal video. This video was intended to announce the partnership and reveal the Livery for race weekend in Miami 2024. The catch: The livery would not be applied on the car until race day and we had 18 days until the reveal event.
Due to the short timeframe to produce the reveal, we pitched the idea of building a full CGI replica of the car for the reveal video. My primary focus as ACD of Motion, was to concept, asset prep, build, texture and animate the CGI Car. In addition, I worked closely with a small team to design, lookdev and art direct throughout the project.
The video premiered at The Temple House in Miami, FL the day before raceweekend. It was shown to a private group of invitees and card members. It was extemely well recieved and ignited a close partnership for content creation between our inhouse production team, Amex sponsorship team and Formula 1 Academy.
