Deaf-Ender is an experimental clothing brand founded by David Villa and Michael Cano as a way to manifest art through their love of design. Deaf-Ender is drived from the idea of defending your voice and disturbing the silence through apparel.
Both David and Michael have affinities with film, photography, illustration and design. Deaf-Ender’s aethetic comes from punk posters, black & white photgraphy, Tattoo culture, Skate culture, and bold monochrome design.
The creative process for the designs spans utilizing existing tools and skillsets, but also learning new workflows and tools. Both artists have begun to experiment with artifial intelligence and the use of generative ai. Combined with photography, illustration and graphic design their goal is for their output to feel organic and analog, staying true to their inspiration and aesthetic nature.
They both began building a portfolio of their work and utilizing social media to get exposure and share their shirt designs. They see this as the opportunity to create art that manifests both digitally and physically with their creative process being infinite in potential outcomes and possbile collaborations.
